I just checked out the preview. Nice of Ice to put out the burning hair salon with her powers!!!
I love the characters … but this book is terrible

Figures the one time Fire does something good and actually gets someone's respect, it doesn't end well and she still gets blamed.
Also I guess she didn't sleep with Lobo? Great?
I didn't even think of how Ice could've put out the fire.
This is a pretty bad Superhero book. Everyone is a mess, incompetent, or just plain stupid.
Thinking about it, it is pretty messed up how this series took one of the few longstanding female friendships in comics and turned it excessively toxic.
Like having conflict between the 2 isn't a bad thing, but this goes way too far in its incredibly negative depiction of Fire.
So sounds like the red flags from this review of issue #1 kind of carried the same problems thru the series...

YES Capes. YES Masks. YES Secret Identities.
Another issue that left me saying “yikes!”
Awful - just awful.
I really wanted to like this series. I loved the sisterhood between these two characters. Other writers have been able to create tension between the two friends but not let it affect their friendship...ya know kind of like in real life. Unfortunately this writer isn't quite able to do that.
I was so excited for this book and wanted to love it. Kind of like Hawkgirl....Tim Drake: Robin...Alan Scott Green Lantern...Power Girl....Dc has had a lot of potential wins for me with characters I love that have just been not so great.
