Default Obscure foe from the 70s, early 80s

    Hello there,
Just one question. I've been trying for a while to locate an issue I read as a child in the 80s but to no avail. I've even tried asking Chatgpt and it started hallucinating big time.😅 Hopefully good old global fandom can help me with this. I only remember it was a story that pitted Batman against a huge guy, gentle giant type of guy, mentally challenged or something like that, who had been conned by the real baddie into undergoing a medical procedure to insert metal or plastic plates under his skin to make him invincible. Guy was already huge prior to the operation. I mostly remember the moment where Batman defeats him and he understands that the real bad guy had lied to him. Poignant moment.
Well, that's it. Hopefully someone can succeed here where AI failed and tell me the issue number. Thanks in advance.

Are you maybe thinking of DETECTIVE COMICS 480? You should be able to find a synopsis of the issue online. It involves Dr. Moon implanting plastic shields in a huge guy and sending him after Batman. Not a happy ending either.

Thank you very much. That's precisely the one I meant. Thanks.
