Not usually a big fan of his work but he seems to be nailing it with this Sandman series. Won’t know until I actually get the issue.

It is cool that Wesley Dodds is having a resurgence. The Sandman is still one of the coolest character designs.

This seems like a ready-made 'spin-off' from Netflix Sandman. I only ever read an issue or two -- admittedly didn't like that Wesley was now frumpy, and wasn't crazy about the art style. But I love stories set in the early to mid 20th century.

Since it's not set in the present-day, it may not be hampered as much.

I don't think its related to this.

The JSA spin-offs all seem to be doing their own thing though the Flash one might require a bit of set-up to have Jay meet his daughter.

Well, Jay's is based on the "return" of Judy, but that can still be worked around.

We’ve already seen and set up the reunion of Jay and Judy (off panel) in the last issue of Stargirl and the Lost Children.
So the miniseries doesn’t need to wait on the JSA title to catch up.

Really enjoy reading and rereading (every few years or so!) the first series; very much looking forward to this next series. Artwork looks okay, to me--

But remember, at this point it's just a six-issue miniseries (as are Jay's and Alan's upcoming books).
