    Default Never ending game rumors

    It seems that every other month there's an "imminent announcement" of a Metal Gear Solid reboot, usually a revamp/remaster/reboot of either the original or Snake Eater, but they never pan out. Latest seems that Konami has made some deal with Sony to produce them (along with new Silent Hills and Castlevania reboots) but that seems to have also been a thing two years ago.



    Any other rumors about games that seem to pop up all the time but never happen? I think a port of the original N64 "Goldeneye" was constantly rumored non-stop until it finally happened recently.

    There have been rumors about Nintendo announcing the Pro Version of The Switch ever since it came out. There are still people asking when does the Switch Pro come out and someone always answers they are going to announce it soon.

    And the OLED does not count as the Switch Pro. They keep talking about an upgraded Switch Pro coming out.

    infamous 5 and dead rising 5/reboot still have rumors although they dont "pop up" so much as i search for them regularly

    LEGO and Travellers Tales were both apparently working on a LEGO Doctor Who and LEGO Disney game for their anniversaries but both were cancelled after Skywalker Saga took so long to complete, also LEGO Disney was considered too similar to Dreamlight Valley to complete.

    While not a pro version, the recent Nintendo investor's meeting revealed they are working on a successor to the Switch, but it won't come out until mid-2024 at the earliest.

    The big rumor is that there will be a Metal Gear announcement tomorrow at the show case.

    Grain of salt given how many times this has never happened.

    Game rumor (or retailer) ....


    - GameStop will be raising the price of its Pro Membership to $25 bucks a year.


    - You can no longer use $5 coupons on new games.

    - Your points that you amass will now expire in a year. Yes ...unless you use all the points that you have they plan to expire them so you can't.



    Its being claimed many are angry inside GameStop and telling the corporate owners who clearly are clueless to realize how stupid the last one is.
