She’s the daughter of Diana so I would think she would have the choice to take it first. Her mother is immortal after all…but she isn’t shown to be taking the mantle of Wonder Woman.

I think they're all her own. Whatever the three lassos of fate means as their first holder they're probably not Diana's, Donna's or Cassie's lassos.

She said her lassos are the lassos of the fates. Diana's lasso is Hestia's gift. Donna's is Mnemosyne's (right?). And Cassie's is Ares'. So I don't think those are Diana's, Donna's, or Cassie's lassos.

I can say I do like her overall design. I think the names they chosen aren’t really good names. Diana is such a traditional Amazon in my opinion, so I’m surprised she used a man made name over an Amazon name

(Like okay, in a meta sense I get it, but in-universe?)

Also, how is a nineteen year old leader of the Justice League?

Presumably cause Diana likes the name. Thats pretty much how middle names come from, parent likes a name and adds it to the kids full name.

Though it is a question how she came up with Marston specifically.

I can assume Lizzie's name not being traditionally Amazon is intentional to outline that Lizzie was influenced from Diana's experiences in the outside world beyond Paradise Island.

Maybe King will get meta/weird and Diana will meet a version of Elizabeth Marston.

I can't explain the middle name in universe, but maybe it doesn't need an in-universe explanation and can only work as meta. Although, Olive Elizabeth Prince might have made more sense (Olive as a tribute to Athena and to Marston's other partner).

And I imagine she must be that good in order to become JL leader at 19.

Not a bad idea, was kind of wondering if King would also reference Byrne.

I'm all for paying respect but the name sounds wrong for the daughter of Diana. I also can't see her creating a mousy, dishwater brown haired child. Nothing's wrong with brown hair and eyes, if she were the daughter of Janet Van Dyne, Wanda Maximoff or even Jennifer Walters I could buy it, but not Wonder Woman.

In a perfect world, he'll just say that Julias maiden name or middle name was Marston or Elizabeth and she named her after her.

That pic is a good example, visually it's like Diana was the mother of Vanessa and not Julia. Lizzie is a Vanessa.
