    Default Weakest nuke-proof characters

Weakest comic or fictional characters who could barely survive a Nuclear device? 2 scenarios:

1: The nuke in question is equivalent to WW2 era yield

    2: Modern weapon

Rules: The character can brace themselves accordingly but cannot leave the area of affect. The explosion will occur within 20 feet of them. The character must be alive 1 hour after the initial detonation. If they succumb to their injuries in less than an hour, they are disqualified.

So for example, I dont believe Alex Mercer from the Prototype games is truly nuke proof. He was near the edge of the blast and required external biomass to reconstitute himself.

The term modern weapon is ill chosen - do you mean yield? Many tactical modern weapons are of WW II level, if smaller in yield size nowadays. Are we referring to the ground zero temperature, radiation and blast effects?

My apologies - good question and good point.

Hiroshima was 15 Kilotons if memory serves, so lets go with that. Ill cap the "modern" weapon at 1 megaton in yield.

Saint of Killers is a start.

Hasn't Wolverine healed from a nuke before?

Adam Destine is my usual answer for this sort of thing. Generally completely invulnerable but physically pretty much a normal dude.

Good answer. Zombieman from OPM is similarly resistant to dying but not overwhelmingly powerful.

Since Casper is a ghost, he is therefore dead and can't claim to "survive" the blast.

That goes for Deadman or any other intangible spirit character.

And my usual answer is Butterball. Physically mostly indestructible, but unfit, inept, clumsy and not particularly strong, even by baseline human standards.

I mean the Nuke didn't kill him. He's as alive as he ever was.

Claire Bennet. In one Alt Future at least she was Ground Zero of Sylar going Nuclear and actually woke up before Peter did, alive and whole, and yet she's also famous for going to pieces from pretty much anything.
