I like this more self-confident take on both characters. Betsy, in particular, is known for her steely will.

Even though I miss her as Psylocke she does look pretty cool in these pages. I also like the mention of Askani. Ray looks good.

The Braddocks are very wealthy and that amount of wealth knows others of its kind. It's not impossible they would have met in other social circles other than superhero.

True indeed. Uncanny mentioning the Hellfire Club reminded me of that HC mini from the early 2000's. I believe there's a scene in it showing Tony's father and Betsy's grandfather getting initiated (along with Shaw and Warren's father).

The review thread is up, I just posted the above before the allowed posting time.

Yeah that's my biggest problem with how books are approved currently, pre-sales. The fate of a book is decided before readers can warm up to it. It is what it is though and I'm enjoying it until the ride is over.
