She popped up in some Great Lake Avengers mini right before her graphic novel. Then came the Unbeatable run.

She like Rocket Raccoon was collecting dust for a period of time.

Flint was on Agent of Shield for part of a season.

Inferno was included in the Marvel Rising tv special and two minis.

Miles Morales, Kamala Khan, and Moon Girl have been Marvel's most successful 'new' characters, Ironheart and Viv Vision can maybe also be added to this list because I can see them sticking around for a while.

    Maybe not as successful but if Marvel invests in them they have potential;
The new Inhumans: Inferno, Flint, Reader, Mosaic, Auran, and Nur (Frank McGee) are some of my personal favorites.
    The Strange Academy kids.
    The Arakkii mutants.

Deadpool. Miles Morales doesn't really count, he has the Spider-Man name. It's like already having Coke and then just adding Cherry Coke to the line. So far Deadpool is the only one that seems to be approaching iconic status.

"The Marvel EIC Chair has a certain curse that goes along with it: it tends to drive people insane, and ultimately, out of the business altogether. It is the notorious last stop for many staffers, as once you've sat in The Big Chair, your pariah status is usually locked in." Christopher Priest

It's Dan Slott who brought her to reader's attention with his GLA mini and one shots. He doubled down on the "SG beats big names villains" meme.
Then Bendis used her a little bit in New Avengers, giving her even more visibility.

Mosaic was also a great addition, and his powers were more unique to Marvel, and so were Kid Kaiju's. Moongirl got her own TV show.
Kamala, Lunella, Kei, and Morris all came out at the same time for the same reason, but only 2 of them stuck around.

Never saw that but that's good. Unfortunately, Devil Dinosaur has been around longer than 20 years, right? lol

Yeah, I'd say we'd have to wait and see on quite a few of those.

Again,Deadpool was created in the 90's! So, much longer than 20 years ago.
Miles Morales and Peter Parker have more differences than similarities. Miles absolutely counts!

Right. You'd think Gert and the dinosaur,Old Lace would have been used by someone.
And has the villain group,The Pride, been used since?

    Going by that logic

The Logan and Storm era X-Men should not count. Since the book sold better and lasted longer than the Scott and friends era.

Nor should the 80s Teen Titans since they were a roster without Roy Harper and Garth.

Nor should Danny Ketch since he was not the OG Ghostrider yet sold better than Johnny Blaze.

Nor Dick Grayson as Nightwing since Superman held that title before in a book with Jimmy Olsen.

Nor Cassandra Cain despite the fact she proved Batgirl title could sell unlike Babs until much later.

Nor Jaime Reyes despite the fact he has the most solo issues as Blue Beetle. Unlike Ted and Dan.

Nor Tim Drake who sold as Robin before New 52.

And we had Shuri as Black Panther. How long did that last?

It is not Miles fault at Marvel and DC the behavior of some of the fandom towards certain characters (along with some in charge) derail the world building that Spawn, Red Sonja, Something is Killing Children and Vampirella have.

Miles and Moon Girl are pretty much the ONLY two at both companies of recent new folks who can boast having over 50 solo issues (ongoing and minis and one shots) since 2016.

Almost everyone else has been victims of toxic fans, bad company leadership and or horrible talent getting their hands on them.

I just saw that Victor Chase Stein was used in Avengers Undercover.

    I don't think so.

Yeah, she was in Avengers Arena and Avengers Undercover, then officially became an Avenger by being on the all-female A-Force team. And then the Runaways reunited. She's also been used in Strange Academy.

Yeah, she was in Bendis's Avengers run after the 2010 relaunch, became the babysitter to Luke Cage and Jessica Jones's daughter Dani. She was also on the Great Lakes Avengers before that. Unbeatable is so popular that GLA was rebranded in a TPB to have Squirrel Girl's branding. But there was a long gap between her debut and her joining GLA.

Gert couldn't be used, she died in Runaways vol 2 and was resurrected in the most recent series.

Nico wasn't the only Runaway used in Arena and Undercover. Also, Victor Mancha appeared in Avengers AI and The Vision.

Kamala has less content than Miles, but can still claim to have more than 50 issues in the last seven years. She was on LGY 75 when Ahmed's run finished (of which all but 19 was after Secret Wars, therefore 2016 or later), she's had three minis since then so is now on 80something. That's at least 60 issues after 2016.

'm going to throw out some characters who most people on these boards won't agree with due to personal bias and tastes but i who i think it's rather obvious they've achieved some level of popularity.

Cosmic Ghost Rider: Introduced in the 2018 Thanos ongoing and has since had multiple mini series, an arc in which he was featured in Avengers and currently has an ongoing. The current ongoing probably isn't going to last too much longer but it's no accident the character has been featured this much.

Knull: Another one introduced by Cates people will disagree with but whether people like it or not his Venom run was a big success and Knull was a huge part of that and is going to be featured quite often going forward as evidenced by his impending return this summer.

Gwenpool :like Cosmic Ghost Rider she's had at least one ongoing and i believe a mini series or two and some other scattered appearances and i see her getting more opportunities/appearances down the road ( also seems to be somewhat popular with the cosplayer crowd)
