Why not drag Sapphire out of mothballs or whatever limbo she's in (or resurrect her if she's dead) and bring her in as well? Then they'd be the DCU's version of the Crystal Gems!

Well, there was this one panel in Justice Society of America #1:

so at least he may have been aware of her when she was a child (as opposed to Alan's non-relationship with Jade before she was an adult).

Better to say "The Alan Scott miniseries should be done by then" since we have no idea if delays with the main Justice Society of America title will have any impact on the three JSA/New Golden Age limited series titles or not.

Hopefully those will be published on time, but with DC you never know.

Just a heads up, Alan Scott being gay is something that was only rectoned a few years ago. He was married for years to Molly Haynes in the comics until New 52 and on ignored that relationship.

Actually, there's been a gay Alan Scott for over ten years now, but at first it was an Alan Scott from essentially a different universe.
When they brought back original / classic Alan Scott (the Green Lantern who first appeared back in 1940) a few years ago, DC decided to make that version of Alan Scott gay as well.

And the New 52 one was only gay because Earth 2 didn't have the legacy charactors like Alan's son Obsidian who was actually well-established to be gay. Which made since at the time. But I'm not a fan of changing the OG version's sexuallity when they fully brought back the JSA.

Molly Maynes, it's alliterative. I think you got confused because Molly from Marvel's Runaways has a similar last name, Hayes.
