And perhaps Rachel and the CB title as well, no guarantee either way.
Kinda agree. Too many events, it feels like the main books are just event tie ins and the minis are necessary just because there's no time for other books between events. FoX seems a bit meh to me. I don't know if its the fact its only four months, which seems short for some supposedly big event, or that there's no actual FoX book but just what amount to a bunch of tie-ins. I'm more curious about it effects the status quo, what books come after and where I can get the characters that I like.
I need some Children of the Vault updates and/or preview art!

I would be interested in FoX as a "closing chapter" if it didn't seem so scattered-all-over-the-place and poorly-conceived (a bunch of limited series that, based off of their solicitations, have nothing to do with each other....seemingly) And this dumb interview doesn't even tell/reassure me that any of these limited series are actually important to FoX, just related in the most basic tangential way. I understand he can't spoil upcoming stories and books that haven't been solicited yet (September to December) but the very least he could have done is tell me why I should be reading Realms or Ice Man or Dark X-Men or any of the other FoX LS beyond the half-assed solicits they had. Why is Spider-Kurt important besides being a solo book for his fanbase?
They're selling FoX hard as this big main-event thing yet everything they have leading up to it sounds flat, ineffectual and disconnected. I'm sure if I was reading all the LS I might see a connection to the main plot but at this point nothing that's been released or that he's said in this interview makes me interested in those books. Nothing.

Fall of X feels like it's intentionally that way, though. In that it's a bunch of loosely connected stories which basically detail how Orchis is finally making their move as well as all the fallout from that... including Apocalypse and Genesis deciding to make their return in the midst of this... or the Children of the Vault being freed from the fake reality Forge had contained them within, no doubt because of Orchis making their move. It seems to me that they're going for a vibe similar to Fall of the Mutants, which was also this way. Meaning loosely connected stories as opposed to a tightly woven event or crossover.
Not as good as I once was but Im as good, once, as I ever was.
It's interesting that JDW said there's more to be announced for Fall of X and I think some of that might have to do with where the main overarching story will be told. They know not everyone will read every mini so I'm assuming X-Men and Immortal move the main story? What's curious is that we so far haven't been told what the end point is. We have the Gala kicking things off but it seems there should be an ending, perhaps a one-shot, that closes Fall of X and ushers readers into the next thing.

Krakoa, Arakko, and Otherworld forever!
hmm.
I could see the loose connection as was done with FotM, but back then the event in UXM, XF and NM played out differently for each book during the course of three issues, simultaneously. FoX is five ongoings and nine limited series (so far) over four months and that just triggers my XoS "subvert their expectations" bull-**** ptsd.
What I want is for someone to tell me why I should read Spider-Kurt outside of me being a nightcrawler fan (and Alpha Flight for Jean-Paul, Realm for Dani, Dark for Maddie etc.) because as it is right now all I'm seeing is fourteen different books telling fourteen different stories featuring characters I love but not in significant, connected ways)
I know some (if not most) readers are single character-specific fans so they'll read anything their faves show up in but I was hoping for more from the x-franchise and the FoX plot as a whole.

Then tell me that (the bolded)
I'm not asking for specifics. But give me something more concrete than vague nonsense and bull-**** solicitations. I'm almost certain there'll be a "Dominion-sized" FoX one shot in December (that doesn't need any of the 9-plus LS that came before it to tell its story or make sense)

Its possible if there's a one shot that wraps it up that they'll announce in the solicits or maybe SDCC, since that's probably around the time for the November solicits to be released. But I don't know about X-men/Immortal/Red being the main story for the event. Solicits for X-men and Immortal are related to FoX, but only mention one character apiece, while Red mentions more but is Arrako related than Fall related. Maybe they're hiding the books where more of the story, but its strange that they never mentioned a Fall of X title itself.
I'm always amused when people are shocked that no extensive spoilers are revealed in an X-Men Monday. Like, seriously? lol. In either case, I'm definitely intrigued by some of what was said. Ultimately, I think Fall of X will serve to cement the Krakoan era while shifting it towards a new status quo; the best of both worlds, if you will. I can't wait.
Jean Grey in the words of Walt Whitman, from his masterpiece Leaves of Grass, "Song of Myself" (51 and 52):
"Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.)"
"Failing to fetch me at first keep encouraged, Missing me one place search another, I stop somewhere waiting for you."
I wouldn't say surprised but it's not a spoiler or that hard to be like Betsy will be in a book. Rachel will be in a book. I mean that is a lot less spoilerly than all of these minis and all these events are leading to one point which fall of x especially when you read the sparse imo uninteresting solicits for them coupled with images etc. But i guess that's just me. One thing did stand out though Jean Grey as Captain Marvel, personally she was Marvel Girl so the idea could be cute but on the flip at this point it would be Jean claiming someone else mantle while still not getting to claim her own.
