Default Choose 7 or 8 Legionnaires to guest in another book

During the 1970s especially, it was not unusual for a handful of members of the Legion of Super Heroes to guest star in books in the 20th century (Justice League of America, Brave And The Bold, DC Comics Presents, Superman, etc...)

The guests from LSH usually consisted of 7 or 8 members. So, pick 7 or 8 of your favorite Legionnaires to guest star in a 21st century book. Name the book and even give a plot-line if you like.

    Titans

    Timber Wolf (Levitz run)
    Shadow Lass (Levitz run)
    Wildfire (Levitz run)
    Dawnstar (Levitz run)
    Star Boy (Levitz run)
    Kid Quantum (DnA run)
    Mon-El (Levitz run)
    White Witch (Levitz run)

The Levitz Legion travel to the 21st Century in search of a time anomaly, which turns out to be a displaced Kid Quantum.
She's been taken in by Brother Blood and the Legion find they need the Titans to help them free her and fix the timeline.
Once it's all done, they discover that Kid Quantum had been duplicated by time fixing itself and they take her back to the 31st Century as a new member.

that intrigues me because of the various interactions that could occur. White Witch and Raven have very different magical backgrounds, for instance, and both Victor and Drake have that 'I've lost my humanity' angst going on. I'd also want to see Mon-El and Conner interact, if Conner was a member of the Titans group you had in mind. Dawnstar and Starfire both have a sort of 'space princess' (yes, yes, Dawnstar is hardly a 'princess,' but she's got enough attitude and haughter for one!) vibe going on, but radically different personalities, which is fun. (Shadow Lass and Starfire are perhaps more alike, with that 'warrior space princess' vibe going on.)

(Levitz era with a few two-boot characters)
    - WILDFIRE
    - Dawnstar
    - XS
    - Ultra Boy (actually, I might like the two-boot version a bit more)
    - Phantom Girl
    - Shadow Lass (leader)
    - Gates
    - Brainiac-5 (despite being overused, he's just so useful!)

They'd guest star in JSA for some story about time-shenanigans involving Mordru of both eras.

Ooh, Mordru sending magical power back in time to amp up his power in the past could be funky! He seems really weak in some encounter in the Legion's time, but that's because he's trying to cheat the game by sending most of his power back to the past, and if past-Mordru succeeds in conquering the world before there ever was a Legion... mwa-ha-ha!

But, of course, the dark Mordru-ruled future is at risk because the Legion sent a group back to stop him in the past! Just when future Mordru is measuring the drapes for his new throne-room on Earth, it all goes pear-shaped. And there's a legit reason why the obvious Legionnaires like White Witch and Mon-El can't be present on the team sent into the past, because Mordru will be expecting them on the team to fight his (distraction!) future-self, while past-him seizes the prize. If the mighty Mordru makes a big splash, and the Legion doesn't send their best mystic, and heaviest hitter, he'll know something's up! (Another reason the Legion might feel the need to work with Legions of Other Worlds, with folk like XS and Gates, so that the 'past team' can include Legionnaires that Mordru will never expect, or miss, when they don't show up for his big distraction. Newish Legionnaires like Chameleon Girl, Dragonwing, Night Girl, etc. could also be a good choice for such a 'under the radar' team, along with characters from other boots like Kid Quantum or Dragonwing. People that Mordru wouldn't miss. And his ego is big (and fragile) enough, that he'd notice if a bunch of Legionnaires didn't bother to show up for a clash with the mighty Mordru!)

    DREAM GIRL
    DUO DAMSEL
    LIGHT LASS
    PHANTOM GIRL
    PRINCESS PROJECTRA
    SATURN GIRL
    SHADOW LASS
    SHRINKING VIOLET

Mordru is on the rampage in the 21st century. Dream Girl has a premonition that the only way to defeat him is to do so in the past.
But there’s a time storm going on. The Time Trapper also informs Mordru that the Legionaries are headed back to the past.
As a result, the ladies have to lay low, and spend some time on Paradise Island with Wonder Woman.
As they formulate their plan, a number of the Espionage Squad pair up with members of the JSA for an in-and-our team-up.
But they’re only partially successful in obtaining the info they need, which means they have to relocate to the big city and adopt fake identities.
The artifact that they’re looking actually turns out to be a jewel, one that is going on display at a massive museum gala that night.
Amid champagne (Jeckie gets a little tipsy!), ball gowns, Big Band music and Van Goghs, the Legion, Wonder Woman and the JSA have a blowout battle with Mordru...ending in their ultimate triumph!

    Kid Quantum - James Cullen

Following the Infinite Crisis, the Multiverse was reborn, now with 52 alternate Earths. In the recent Countdown: Arena mini-series, Monarch, formerly Captain Atom, began assembling a team made up of alternate versions of heroes from various Earths. In the final issue, he killed every single alternate version of himself to gain their power. James Cullen was seen among the various Captain Atoms.
His death also caused the "no technology powers" rule to be implemented when later characters were recruited
So this guy is a captain atom. Killed by tech. Reconstituted in a human form. Time/quantum powers sounds like a flash
My priority is enjoying and supporting stories of timeless heroism and conflict.
    Everything else is irrelevant.

    Lightning Lad
    TimberWolf
    Karate Kid
    Colossal Boy
    Saturn Girl
    Phantom Girl
    Ultra Boy
    Brainiac Five

Wonder Woman - Themyscira has advanced to the future and the Legion must help Diana and the Amazons get back to their correct place and time. May sound lame but I'd love to see it.

I'm gonna go with the DnA Legion.

Invisible Kid (you need a brain in the team, and let's use him instead of Brainiac 5 for a change).
    Kid Quantum (Leader)
    Ultraboy
    Gates
    Appariation
    Saturn Girl
    Livewire

Book: Young Justice (the real one, PAD's)
A young Mordu and an Old Mordu join forces to conquer time, forcing both young groups to team up.

    Peace

I would do a story called League Lost. The Time Trapper would randomly snatch the Justice League from the world just as a big crossover event is about to happen. Seeing that Earth and the universe would never be the same if the Justice League doesn't stop the threat, but also wanting to keep the timeline as correct as possible, Brainiac-5 puts together 8 Legionnaires to pose as league members.

    Superman - Mon-El (too easy)
    Wonder Woman - Andromeda
    Hawkwoman - Dawnstar (naturally)
Flash - Ultra Boy (only being able to use his super speed power)
    Green Lantern - Rond Vidar
Cyborg - Ferro Lad (a bit of a stretch)
    Martian Manhunter - Chameleon
Batman - Timberwolf (because Timberwolf is cool)

This team (Timberwolf, Brainiac 5, Wildfire, Shrinking Violet, Kent Shakspeare, Invisible Kid, Andromeda) is based on a pre-existing Marvel line up because honestly, I have too many favorites to pick just seven Legionnaires.

History shows Jaime Reyes lost the Blue Beetle Scarab in a temporal anomaly and it was never found, forcing the young hero to retire.

When a matching anomaly spits the Khaji Da out in the Legion’s time, a group of volunteers set out to travel back and return the device to its proper owner.

The alien conquerers The Reach, still active in the Legion’s time, have other ideas, though.

Things only get worse when the present day Reach get involved.

So what chance do seven Legionnaires and one Blue Beetle have, caught between two competing factions of some of the most cutthroat aliens in the universe?

Wow, I haven't thought of Kent Shakespeare making an appearance anywhere in quite some time. ^^^
