What if he tries to take Peter's body and winds up taking Felicia's?
Given all the horrible stuff Felicia endured in the Superior run, it wouldn't surprise me
Or maybe it's going to become a "Which body is Otto Octavious going to take!?!? Peter, Felicia, Mary Jane, Paul!?!?!? Tune in next month!!"
No.
The first half of this sentence is true the second is not.
My guess would be this is just going to take place within that book.
Nothing that happen in Slott's side book will affect Amazing. I wish I could take comfort in that like I used to but Amazing is terrible too so........
FINALLY. I look forward to this. Ironically enough, since I've completely dropped Amazing, this would replace it. How fitting.
Though IMO, the way Gage wrote him in Vol 2 was pretty....superior....
Now here's hoping it takes place in the present
Fairly interested in this, but mostly because just the announcement opens up a whole slew of questions.
Is this replacing Slott's adjectiveless Spider-Man series, because given his history I highly doubt he's even able to write two ongoings at the same time (unless it's a mini-series)?
Will this be an "Untold Tales" series, or is Otto getting another clone body in the next ASM arc? If we do get the latter, I am hoping we'll get a return to form for Otto similar to how Gage wrote him in his Superior run, since I thought that was an interesting and compelling take on his character. I felt him getting his body/old personality back was cheap, but I appreciated they kept him grounded and subdued for the most part (the issue of Beyond where he and May team up was excellent). I didn't care for him reverting back to his generic mad scientist persona in Devil's Reign and current ASM, so if we get anti-hero Otto back I'll be happy, it'll just make the mad scientist reverting funny for how pointless it'd be.
Slott has gotten to the point of his career where the only work he gets at Marvel is essentially a return to the greatest hits. Nothing new, just the same old same old
