We present to you Age of Marvels: New Universe, a collection of all new fan-made issues on “sale” this month for JULY 2023!

What is “Age of Marvels” and how does it work?

Age of Marvels is a fan fiction universe and solicitation game that has been in existence on the CBR boards for well over a decade! It has gone through several iterations and has survived forum reboots! The way it works is that “plotters” write short solicitations for monthly comic books! Then participants “buy” the books they want to read! The books with the most buys get rewards. Sounds fun, right? So let’s do this! Which of this month's solicits interest and excite you? Let us know by posting which books you'd pick up in the virtual Age of Marvels Store (this solicitation thread). You can pull as many as you'd like, but also consider your "virtual budget" when making your selections, as sales are used to reward our titles and plotters. Registers are open all month and sales are tallied at the end of the month.

Absolutely anyone can make purchases right here in this thread - so please do!.
It’s free and is basically just saying “I’d read this” or “I like this!” So let us know! There has never been a more excelsior time to join the fun!

In the wake of the LMD revelation and multiple missteps, there is a shake-up at the gov't agency HAMMER! New leadership has been brought in to get the agency back on track and re-gain the trust of Congress and skeptical politicians! Peter Gyrich has been named as the new co-Director alongside Clay Quartermain. His first move is to bring in James Woo and Jasper Sitwell as his top lieutenants who report directly to him while Victoria Hand continues to work with Quartermain! He has also begun a new program aimed at training recruits and established a team of super-operatives to defend America and hunt down any traitorous agents, including those who worked for Nick Fury, now in HAMMER custody!
However, Quartermain managed to keep Fury out of the reach of Gyrich. He believes that Nick is guilty of numerous crimes but doesn't trust Gyrich to treat him fairly. He also thinks that this new project by Gyrich is just an excuse to go after the agents who believed that they were working with the real Nick! Elsewhere, in an undisclosed location, Scorpio, Agent 13, Kimodo and American Eagle have agreed to stay together as a team. But Nomad and Diamondback decided to leave and strike out on their own. They will all need to be careful and watch their back. The US gov't has just accused them all of being foreign spies and have branded them as enemies of the state!

They can't harm the child and risk her becoming an even greater symbol. However they have no such concerns when it comes to Gaius and Number Six. Those two can be eliminated and maybe then, they can begin to control Hera!
Elsewhere, Sharon is on the surface of Caprica searching for any clues of where her daughter could be. She's been hearing news of a cult of Cylons who worship a child, her child! She locates a temple dedicated to Hera and after interfacing with the networks in the temple, she finds what she's looking for. Hera is being raised in a district in the Northwest part of the city by Gauis Baltar and Number Six. There is a great religious divide among the Cylons! Caprica is teetering on the brink of war and Sharon is going to push it over the edge to get her daughter back!

Now that Steve Rogers is back and wielding the shield, there is no shortage of emergencies that demand his attention!
To list just a few: the nation of Madripoor has fallen under the grip of the Mandarin, with its duly-elected leader jailed in China (see TYGER TIGER, CHANCELLOR OF MADRIPOOR: WORLD WAR ZEMO #4). Baron Wolfgang von Strucker and the Kraken remain at large, hailing Hydra… somewhere (see THUNDERBOLTS NO MORE #1). The federal government is contemplating the formation of a potentially dangerous agency to regulate “mental purity” in the name of fighting mind-control. And the Brooklyn DA is prosecuting Steve personally for falsifying data on his enlistment papers from 82 years ago, using the unprecedented argument that being frozen in ice also freezes the statute of limitations!
But first things first.
Arkady Rossovich and Steve Rogers have been in conflict since the very beginning (it’s true - check out CAPTAIN AMERICA #0). Two super soldiers, both frozen in their primes, both currently men out of time. One is loyal to the dream of the United States, the other seeks to tear it apart and build something different upon its bones. After conspiring to take Steve off the board, the man once known as Omega Red stole the name “Captain America” and used it to further his Soviet-inspired mission (see CAPTAIN AMERICA #26 through the current issue!). For nearly two-and-a-half years, Arkady disgraced the legacy of Captain America, even operating a cadre of “Dark Avengers.” All that ends now.
This is the conclusion of the identity crisis. After all the other contenders to the mantle have fallen, this singular fight will determine - once and for all - who is the one, and only, “Captain America.” Everything is on the line!

Undisclosed HAMMER holding facility: Jason and Monica have been captured by HAMMER agents and are being held in separate rooms awaiting interrogation! The LMD conspiracy brought them back to the US but it looks like their mission is about to end before it gets started. Armed guards with enter Jasons' cell and orders him to get up. Jason thinks about making a move but decides against it, especially since he doesn't know where Monica is being held. After walking down to an elevator that takes him to a lower level, Jason is brought to a room to find Monica sitting in a chair. She asks him if anyone has spoken to him, both of them confused as to what's going on.
Victoria Hand enters the room and tells them both sit sit down and listen. A deal was made for them escape this facility and to go to a set of coordinates to meet up with other agents. Monica tells Hand to drop dead, there's no way that they believe anything she says. Hand tells Monica to stop talking and listen: she whispers a word, a word given to them by the Black Panther when they were in Wakanda. This has all been arranged, their capture, being brought to this facility.
Clay Quartermain, Nick Fury and The Panther worked out an arrangement for them to be captured by Hand so that that they could get information and resources. They will escape and meet with Scorpio, Diamondback, Nomad and Agent 13 to plan their next move! They ask where's Fury and Hand tells the only thing they need to be concerned about right now is survival!

Drama on the set, Wonder Fam! D+ got the real deal, the Hulk himself, to come on board as a consultant - and he does not like the actor portraying him in the bio-series: ya boi Simon Williams! What’s his beef?
Is it that Simon’s brother, Eric Williams, just so happens to be a supervillain called the “Grim Reaper”? Or that Simon uses him to promote villain acceptance? (“He’s not going to use his enormous scythe that he has instead of a right hand on you, fear-mongers! Statistically the risk is minuscule. He mostly uses it on bank vaults and stuff like that. They’re insured!).
Or is it that Simon insisted there be a more exciting love interest, pressuring the writers to hook his version of Hulk up with Black Widow - and to cast his current irl girlfriend, “Ms. Thing” Darla Deering, as the deadly spy?
Or is it that Simon requested that his frequent collaborator, famed marijuana-enthusiast and comedic actor Zane Whelan, portray “Thunderbolt” Ross and deliver the line: “I’m gonna roll up that green man and smoke him!”
Or, perhaps, is it that Simon insists on a faux British accent for Dr. Bruce Banner? (“It just sounds nerdier!”).
Whatever the reason, these two can’t get along… which in super-power land, means they might have to get it on! Simon’s plan is to try and avoid a fight through conversation over tall, half-caff, non-fat soy lattes. What are the odds that this works?
