I’m expecting it to drop in the summer, same time as the first season. Would be nice if it dropped earlier, preferably after the second half of the Invincible Season 2.

In principle, I agree with you, there is no need to include other characters (specially anything Batman related) beyond the Superman sphere in the show. However we must also admit than the creatives had not been shy at the moment to include characters from other sides of the DCU, even if seriously reworked.
Personally, if they wanted to include another character, I would prefer to go with Martian Manhunter or Captain Comet, but in ways than were according to the narrative of the story, served as an specific purpouse.
