And John Wick wouldn't even come close to Top 10 for me. All those films have relatively weak immemorable villains. The Wick movies I think only succeed because we're so desperately starved of classic action films ala the 80s/90s era (the conventions of many of those films).

Lethal Weapon probably makes my list. I'd be super tempted to put Temple of Doom on there. First Blood. Robocop. Speed. I'd never attempt a top 10 though, too difficult really.
You can make a top 10 of Arnie action movies alone, got to give others some room, guy's shadow is too big

Well I'd consider superhero, vampire and fantasy films (think Conan, Ladyhawke, etc.) to also be action films. But setting that aside, as this list seems to do, the list is missing a few I'd add to it.

Add in Aliens, Eraser, Desperado, The Rock.

Yeah, more John Woo should be up there, if not Killers, A Better Tomorrow, or Hard Boiled...then at least Face Off.

Supercop AKA Police Story 3 should be up there.

Having said that, there's a host of martial arts movies we could probably be talking about...

People don't think of it as an "action film" but The French Connection should probably be up there. It was highly influential to action flix that came after...

    Come on with that nonsense.

I saw Commando last night for the first time in awhile. I had forgotten how bloody it was. Great action film with Arnold and a young Alyssa Milano.

Yes, Arnold should be all over this list.

So many Woo films I'd be tempted to list, though if could choose only one, I'd probably pick Hard Boiled to represent Woo. Ringo Lam I enjoy too (City on Fire, Full Contact, Prison on Fire).
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

Death wish 3 should be on the list.

Arnie and Stallone should get a separate category

Ah come on, its like you should name your favorite child.
