You should read the mini. Romeo was aged up out of panel. With Christian he helped calm down Iceman's anxieties a bit. They are more or less open, all three of them. I think the relationships in that were cute.

Is Nimrod usually depicted with a pink losange on his chest ?
Could it be a manipulation to make people think he's been corrupted by Sinister, linked to the world knowing about SoS ?

Not the preview just overall from what I been reading in the books. How Orchis is just plotting and most likely going to execute and achieve their plans. But I really haven't seen any contingency plans, no protocols from the great captains.

They are too wide open, Karima just rolling up to the tree house. And now it seems someone is getting escorted by the Ambu. This Gala is not going to end pretty.

I agree they should have contingencies in case of Orchis attacks, but Orchis seems to have moles in Krakoa so it's possible they know the faults in the defenses. Per exemple, Orchis hacked the gates, and apparently know how to steal and operate the Cap Krakoa suit (which is why Cyclops is not there during Nimrod's attack.
Nimrod is supposed to be very very powerful so even with contingencies he may overpower them. Also in Fraction/Gillen's "cyclops plan" run, he failed to stop the Juggernaut with 150 plans so sometimes it's just too powerful.

He had the pink chest piece in last weeks Invincible Iron Man. So either its coincidence or they knew how the vote would go and prepare for it.

Considering the X-men are famous for the inability to even pay attention to what's happening right infront of their doorstep (just ask Jubilee and Skin), that's not much of a suprise, though still cheap writing.

Honestly. It's doubtfull much about anything of the current era is going to stand the test of time or will leave a notable mark going forward. At least not a positive one.

Besides the very small (buying) readership, general niche existence of the comics at this point, difficulty to use any of the current material for adaptations and general dissonance with what can be considered the wider perception and pop culture image of the X-men, this all has the hallmarks of ending up as another "weird time".

In this regard the Hellfire Gala might end up being looked at the same way as many of the "eccentricities" of the 90's were in the 00's.

Which is certainly not going to be helpfull for currently introduced and/or pushed characters, who together with many others from the past 30 years have an uphill battle to matter or get longterm support by the constantly shifting writing staff.

Not necessarily. Back in the 00's Kitty got a similar haircut for Claremont's Revolution and once that flopped, she was pretty quickly back to long hair.

C-listers should watch themself. Though they are also unlikely to attend. The big names will be fine, since an X-men story can't be allowed to heavily alter or change allready in use heros of other titles by killing them.

I am just feeling this Batch of X-men are the wait and see and then react.
Seeing Nimrod crashing the party in the trailer and apparently going after the Omega Mutants as he boastfully stated. Just feels like this could have been avoided

I'm hellaciously excited for this year's Hellfire Gala. Free Comic Book day already had me feeling keen to see what happens but this trailer bammed that up a notch! I must admit, I'm a pretty big Uncanny Avengers fan so that is a part of it. However, that isn't the entire explanation. Things really seem to be coming to a head with Orchis and the X-Men and this looks to be where it all pops off. Exciting stuff!

Also they tried to attack Orchis many times (badly, with X-force but still). Attacking Orchis (who have been quite popular with humans recently) would be very bad press.
Based on the trailer we don't know if they don't have defenses at the Gala though. Iceman seem to handle Nimrod a bit.

Yup the original article announcing the gala mentioned "stunning betrayals". I think Orchis is going to hit the mutants from different angles including pulling the trigger on the people taking compromised meds.
