I'm so sad to hear this news. He's was definitely one of Marvel's greats. I know lots of people think of Ditko (before my time) when they think of Spider-Man, but for me, it was always Johnny Romita.

Sympathies to his family, especially JRJR.
Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

The guy who, in many ways, defined what the look of Spider-Man is. That's a big hit. RIP Mr. Romita.

Damn, I was thinking of him the other day and how he was still around, trying to look for any recent stuff he had done.
He was the perfect Person to follow up Ditko in my opinion, and the two remain kings of their field.
He created some the most iconic images in Spider-Man history, and in my opinion, grew the tone of the book from it’s original, somber outlook.

R.I.P. to John Romita Sr. and condolences to his family. Unless I am mistaken, he's the last of that group of writers and artists from the beginnings of Marvel.
