Larroca the iron GOAT
STK422349.jpg
Only just heard that he's just passed away..
John Romita Snr totally defined Spider-Man for me...sad loss, RIP "Jazzy" John Romita..
Spider-Man: Steve Ditko and John Romita Sr.
Jae Lee. The Sentry. Once he was dug up and used during the Bendis Avengers era, he seemed overly bulked up and Thor-like.
I'm gonna go with an odd one here, because I think he defined the character as an inker, and not as a penciler. Bob Layton. His work over the likes of John Romita Jr, Jackson Guice and Mark Bright, among others, is legendary, IMHO.
Peace
I don't really have a favorite single character, I just love the X-Men. Sure, I have X-Men I enjoy more than others but for me they're just all awesome in some way, even Forget Me Not. Anyway, I really like Pepe Larraz. Dude is amazing.

"Kids don't care **** about superhero comic books. And if they do, they probably start with manga, with One Punch-Man or My Hero Academia. " -ImOctavius.
Mark Bagley for Songbird (and the rest of the Thunderbolts, but mostly Songbird!).
John Byrne for Snowbird (and the rest of Alpha Flight, but, again, Snowbird's my favorite).
Ron Lim for Meanstreak and Krystalin (of the X-Men 2099, one of my favorite X-teams).
Jim Lee for Gambit (one of the few cases where an artist who was not the *first* artist to draw that character is my 'iconic' artist for a character, who was a favorite character back in the day, until I played him in a superhero RPG and got that out of my system).
John Byrne for many of the Avengers, but George Perez for the Scarlet Witch (IMO, the best she's ever looked, with all the bracelets and stuff that nobody else seemed to be bothered to draw, while I like John Byrne, he drew Wanda kind of older and harsher looking, while Perez had a softer younger-looking Wanda that I preferred).

“Somewhere, in our darkest night, we made up the story of a man who will never let us down.”
- Grant Morrison on Superman
Mark Bagley for Spider-Man:
George Perez's 90s run for Avengers:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

Paul Ryan and Adi Granov for Iron Man:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
