I would imagine if I were planning a sequel that I'd at least tease the mystery. It's not questioned at all.

I feel like the movie had a lot of complicated stuff to deal with and throwing in some hints that Nora's killer was a supervillain might be kind of confusing and too much for the general audience. It's not like Barry himself ever had any idea that there was anything unusual about the murder in the comics until Thawne told him. Also, while they might have considered doing Reverse Flash in a sequel, this movie definitely seems to work with the same premise of the animated film where it is just a random burglar.

This was probably the thinking but leaves them open to the same problem The Flash TV show had, which was effectively recycling the exact same idea over and over.

I really hope the next Flash movie is about a Rogue (or Rogues). But it'll be Zoom. And probably partly Flashpoint again.

My personal opinion is time travel is a common trope in every comic. Superman’s very first film had time travel. It’s all in the execution.

Superman's very first film Superman and the Mole Men was not time travel and it came out in 1951.

I was honestly surprised by how much I loved the movie despite the terrible CGI .
So I am glad I didn't listen to the reviews saying it was worst superhero movie . No I seen some terrible ones and the flash is a fun movie .
I am super disappointed that there will be no sequel and batman beyond with Keaton is cancelled .

I doubt it will be Flashpoint again, since that story is the basis for one of DC's biggest flops now. Reverse Flash, quite possibly, since he's Barry's arch enemy and hasn't been done on the big screen.

But I really doubt we'll be seeing Flash on the big screen again for a long time.
