It's heavily implied that the 2 moonstones that empower her are slowly driving Karla insane, and she wasn't all that stable to begin with.

Not so much tying into, as picking up a character from it, which is arguably not the same.

If it would tie into X-men green, one would need to have read that ... let's call it a "story" to understand the general events going on in Realms of X. Picking up a character from it means one can just drop a little reference and then ignore it ever happend.

Which is after all how many writers handle the characters they were given or want to use, which were used in a terrible story beforehand.

Don't know about that -- the first three issues were, putting it mildly, boring.

These sneak peek panels look better and more action packed then the first three issues combined.

Killing it (New Mutants) being the operate word here.

I wouldn't complain about New Mutants dying as a title, if I was assured that the characters would land somewhere else safely.

In the context presented, the characters have long since outgrown the concept.

That's cool. Everyone is entitled, as the saying goes.

It's just hard to believe that anyone could view this dreadfully lackluster plot to date as being "killing it." But to each their own.

Not so successful, but in part I agree with you. The new mutants were about a certain team, like gen x or academy x were, but the issue I see is that they end up either being flanderized to try to appeal old fandom ( the stuff you used to like turbo boosted) or get stuck in bizarre plots trying tk be relevant while at same time being stuck in certain situations they should have surpassedby now.
So kind of like spider man....hopefully they will far better than he does...
<now tha ti think they too had made sort of pact with Mephisto....OK why did whatever happen to spidey then happen to mutants as well? And vice versa....is odd because is kind unique
