I do love how they worked Julia into the Super Hero Girls toon.

Diana was living in the park after having left Themyscira, and after going through a personal revelation, accidentally runs into Julia. Julia recognizes her as an Amazon and befriends her, offering Diana her daughter's room ( since she was away at college).

Julia has ancient artifacts from the Island ( including her stuffed kanga, Jumpa... ) so Diana feels instantly comfortable, and now has a proper loving home in Man's World.

    Gave me all the feels.

That would have been a great casting choice.

I also like how fresh Julia feels here. She could've easily been a stuffy professor/Mom type, but Perez makes her feel vibrant and fun without overdoing it.

I agree 100 %. Perez wrote her to strike a perfect balance between nurturing mother figure, brainy academic mentor-type and fun, badass older woman. Perez hit it out of the park with Julia & Vanessa, and they both truly deserve, IMO, to be brought to life in a WW movie or TV series.

ETA: speaking of casting, I could totally see Jamie Lee Curtis or Sharon Stone (both 64 years of age) as Julia (although they might be considered too old to play a woman with a teenage daughter). Personally, I think either woman could pass for a woman in her early to mid fifties...

I hope King doesn't make Vanessa a villain again.

They really need to scrap the Nessie as Swan plot and just bring back Helen or even Valerie. It doesn't seem to be very popular so I'm not sure why they keep using it.

In my head canon, Vanessa has never been SS. That name will always belong to Helen or Valerie.
I still fantasize about living in a world in which Wonder Woman 1984 had featured Dr. Psycho & the Silver Swan as the villains instead of Max Lord & Cheetah. Silver Swan even fits the whole "flying" theme that the film we got explored (invisible plane, Diana using a winged armor, and then 'learning' to fly self-powered, etc).
In that same fantasy, WW84 would have been a big hit that would have led to a Wonder Woman 3 in which Circe herself had turned Barbara Minerva into the ultimate bestiamorph, Cheetah.

Remember that time Julia pulled a gun on Circe?

I *loved* Julia for pointing the gun at Circe - and I don't like guns.

I think that last one is Cassie and Di.

Has anyone ever made Cassie and Venessa into sister relationship, where Venessa babysisted Cassie, as Cassie's mom was Julia's assistance? If not, that should happen, bring the connection together. Do a book exploring Cassie growing up around Diana, why she became Wonder Girl over Venessa. Cassie needs a book.
