Back in the 1970s, with issue #117, Justice League of America adapted a sub-title of "The World's Greatest Super Heroes" in its title.
Based strictly on that sub-title, who would you think deserves membership in the current Justice League?

Was Black Canary the only female on the team back then? That kind of shocked me. Also, that team is really white! Lol!

Black Panther - Champion of Bast
Vixen - Champion of Anansi
It was 1975.
The Justice League of America had maybe ten active members back then, and there weren't all that many non-Caucasian heroes in DC's then present-day ranks then. (Black Lightning would be introduced two years later, and John Stewart was still a back-up Green Lantern for Hal.)
Yes, Black Canary was the only female member at that time since Wonder Woman was still on a leave of absence. Zatanna wouldn't become a member until 1978.
I guess it would depend on how they are defining Greatness really
