amazing now she looks like Sharon Carter. I hope there are some markings on her outfit to make it a little more distinct.
I'd also like Yelena to have some more unique gadgets of her own.

Well I ain't complaining. Besides it's Artgerm. You know what you are getting. He is very good at that

I wonder if we get some early previews? I wonder what she is getting herself into? Mercenary for hire perhaps?

Seems like she's trying to live life on her own terms, maybe heroically.

More like "heroic". Im sure she has her own definition of that and it's part of her character that she is actually quite comfortable with who she is and what she was trained to do. I certainly hope that won't change about her but I guess we will see.

WHITE WIDOW VARIANT COVER BY PEACH MOMOKO

Just as Yelena Belova begins to settle into life in suburbia as a consultant for honest, hardworking assassins, change comes in the form of Armament — a company whose endeavors seem to infiltrate every aspect of life in the tiny town of Idyllhaven. But what exactly is Armament’s interest in Idyllhaven — and what does it have to do with Yelena’s rogue mentees?

Cultured Peach Momoko with the unzipped Natasha.

These Widows always seem to retreat to suburbia for some reason. And Yelena mentored someone!?

Murder? Well that confirms one thing, she's not a hero. She's an anti-hero at best. Real heroes don't kill.

Is that cover at the bottom a more armored take on her costume?

    Yeah...about that....

Unless you are talking about murder and not killing.

Steve obviously killed in World War II, but he was acting as a soldier then, not a superhero. He usually avoids killing in the present day.

I just read the First Look for issue #1....is this supposed to be in-continuity? Whoever the White Widow is that was starring in those preview pages does not sound anything like the Yelena Belova I have read in any of her prior 616 appearances. An argument could be made that she sounds more accurate for the MCU version, but even that is a stretch, imo.

Yeah, it feels like they're trying to write her more like the MCU version with the constant glibness but it doesn't read well especially compared to how she's been written the past few years.

Gotta admit - never thought I'd see Yelena in pigtails.
