Darth Vader and Darth Sidious open the Ark from the first Indiana Jones movie. Do they survive?

Probably not it's like the wrath of God or something.

I don't think they have any resistance to being melted.

I think they're dead unless Vader's suit counts as cover somehow

I mean Sideous already melted himself with way less power than the Wrath of God.

Possibly. It all depends on how gifted each is in the precognitive aspects of The Force. If one of them is talented enough then it's possible they'll get a vision or flash that warns them to close their eyes to avoid being melted.

Of the two, I think Vader has a better chance. He has had visons granted by the Force in the past, if you include his Anakin years. Maul hasn't demonstrated any sort of talent for seeing the future as far as I know, but it's possible he might have done so in Clone Wars or Rebels that I'm not aware of.

Pst... Maul isn't here. It's Sideous. AKA the Emperor. Who at least CLAIMED to be getting visions all the time in RotJ.

Doh! That'll teach me to reply to a thread while half asleep.

As far as Sidious, he's claimed a bunch of things. The question is what has he actually done on screen. I don't recall any actual precognition feats of his in the movies. But then, I'm still probably a little sleep-deprived.

He tells Vader to go down to Endor and that Luke will come to him in Return of the Jedi and he explicitly says he has foreseen it, it is not a guess based on Luke's character. He also seemingly knows where and when the Rebel Alliance will attack Death Star II, as he has a fleet in place to trap the Rebel fleet. Visions of the future seem to be pretty standard Jedi/Sith fare. Yoda isn't at all surprised Anakin had visions and tells Luke he will as well. Yoda clearly has visions, and knows that it can be difficult to predict the future even with these visions, because it is always in motion.

    They won't survive.

    But somehow, Palpatine will return.

And it'll be revealed he was behind all the other Indiana Jones movies.

Would like if there was a like button. Quite seriously one of the worst lines ever written in a billion dollar movie.

I’m with StupidMoniker, yeah, nice one.

The look on the actors face when he said the line. ‘ I cannot believe I am actually saying this.’

I rarely seen an actor so obviously disgusted.

Darth Vader - OH, no! Not again!

As far as resisting the Wrath of God with the Force, nope!
