So to delve a little more into SLA Industries, it's basically a gigantic, multiplanetary megacorporation.

It is basically the only functional government and business in gigantic cities that sprawl over areas the size of Asia. Everything outside of those cities on their planets are corroded, ruined, exploited wastelands, often full of beasts and cannibals that have essentially been created by SLA Industries' degradation of the planets themselves.

Within the cities, the pollution and filth isn't a whole lot better. And everyone works for some aspect of SLA industries. They buy all of their goods and supplies from...SLA industries. They rent their homes from...SLA industries. You get the picture. There is no social security. There is no medicare. Your pay - meager as it is - will be used for these things while you keep slaving away for the people you're paying. Until you die. One wonders why they bother with money, and can only conclude 'because it's fun for the boss to count his money' or something.

Due to this situation, the cities abound in various mutated monsters, serial killers, etc. 'Work until you die' often means 'work until something kills you on your way home one day'.

SLA Industries names these hellhole worlds they've created 'The World of Progress'.

I don't think a crime syndicate, or NERV for that matter, technically qualify as corporations. NERV is an NGO notionally under the control of the UN and the Red Dragons are a crime syndicate that specialise in drug trafficking and assassination.

Neither are corporations in the classic sense.

You forgot
- clones "lines" of slaves across planets in order to trade among the world
- believer of eugenics. Their entire leadership councils is cloned/breeded to become the perfect human beings
- Underlying cause of the war between the Solarian League and the Manticore Empire. Wants to destroy both organizations and then take them over.
- Created an body modification that can take over a person's body function (Arm/Finger/etc). This was used to destroy the commander's ship during a pre-battle white flag discussion and cause a major intersellar battle.
- Put nuclear bombs underneath several civilian's apartment building and denotated them. This was to frame Manticore.
