Suspense for who? Everyone knew this was happening. You’d have to be living under a rock to have not heard about this, and it’s also not that hard to figure out either.

The only suspenseful part is if they are actually going for that leaked idea that Armor’s DNA cause this.

We literally had an entire event that started with the evil plan of the magically evil X-men being using the protocols to make people into mutants with their morality set to evil. So in-universe this is a terrible idea that would probably just make everyone hate and be suspicious of Ms. Marvel anyway.

Out of universe using murder as a way to change a characters' race is horrendous and honestly kind of vile. Outside of MCU synergy I don't see how this benefits anyone. Adding Ms. Marvel to the giant pile of non-white X-men means they all now have to compete with a superstar for attention and page space. And Ms. Marvel now will have all the X drama dumped on her, which honestly feels less unique than the stories she's been telling. One of the things I've loved about Ms. Marvel is that her writers haven't had to use metaphors for racism and discrimination and has just dealt with being a Muslim girl in America.

Maybe they won't make her a mutant and just bring her back as she was. It would still make the whole thing a pathetic stunt.

Duggan pretty much laid out the secrecy was about protecting her identity and family. It's like that back-of-the-courtroom scene in Casino, right? Sure, Emma/Scott/whoever's involved likes/trusts the Champions and other folks just fine, but why take a chance?

What I can't figure out is why Scott bothered showing up in the first place. My best guess is they wanted Scott to interact with his boyfr... I mean, Logan one last time before dying, but didn't want Percy to find out.

Wait but that's still a stupid/weird as heck order of events? What was Scott doing that being away from the funeral was needed? He can't help with the Resurrection. Was he begging hope to revive Kamala? Was he with Emma and they explained things to her parents?

Was he watching Sitting on Kamala's egg like a mother hen?

    This is just kinda silly.

Since mutants no longer do it the far more pleasurable ol' fashion way -- wouldn't it be a real kick if Kamala Khan busts out of her egg all Jazz hands singing...

    "I'm a mutant, he's a mutant, she's a mutant, we're a mutant... Wouldn't you like to be a mutant too?"

    It’s just Scott being Scott.
