Default The Seireitei and Ainz, the Overlord

I seem to be fascinated with Ainz lately. So once again the Great Tomb gets bounced around. This time it lands just outside the Seireitei. The 13 Court Guards are of course disturbed. Ainz is worried about his survival. So they decide to slug it out. Let's say it's the time where Head Captain Yamamoto is alive and there hasn't been the slaughter of the 1000 year war, so there are lots of soul reapers. Ainz has his Floor Guards, and Death Knights.

Ainz and his Floor Guardians, with only a few like Demiurge and Shalltear even having any notable feats, would get absolutely massacred by the Shinigami in a direct fight. Even before 1000 Year Blood War, the stat difference is too much.

Overlord is particularly lacking in speed compared to Bleach

What about Ainz stopping time and using his... erm... "The Goal of All Things Is Death," ability which is like an omega death spell?

I've only flicked through the manga of Overlord and skimmed a respect thread from the novels so I'm not super knowledgeable about the series but that seems pretty potent a move.

The Goal of All Life is Death spell by itself does nothing. It’s a spell that buffs the rest of Ainz’s Death Magic to be more potent at the cost of an initial 12 second cooldown from casting it.

What your likely referring to is Cry of the Banshee he used afterwards amped by TGoALID which is an area of effect Death Spell

Problem with timestop is that Ainz can’t harm the target any time during the timestop duration due to game mechanics applying to the New World preventing him from being able to. He has found a way around it by timing a single target Death Spell with a delayed activation that he puts on the target, timing it so that it goes off exactly when the time stop also ends to kill the target. But that’s the only thing he’s confirmed to be able to use.

Plus again, there’s the enormous speed difference. Floor Guardians like Albedo struggle with deflecting machine gunfire while Bleach characters are absurdly faster than that. Ainz can at best take out 1 Captain before getting shanked by the rest in retaliation

A fine example of why reading respect threads is no match for actual knowledge of the source material. ^_^

What about that big spell thing that killed like 70,000 people and made a bunch of murder goats? Is there a threshold on that being used or cast time or something?

There stuff in the novels respect thread wherein "the speed of light" was being thrown around liberally but I took that as flavour rather than a literal description. If they're struggling with machine guns, then they aren't remotely in the right bracket of speed for this match up.

Like everything else, just blitz Ainz before he can even attempt to cast it.

The speed of light stuff was mistranslations from early fan attempts at translating the series that were corrected by both the official release by Yen Press and removed accordingly. Both are actually describing a character moving as fast as lightning. Not actual feats of lightning speed mind you and greatly contradicted by actual feats demonstrated showing Overlord top tiers are nowhere near that
