Jean Grey #2, Realm of X #2 and Ms Marvel #2 all came out on the last week of the sales period so it would be more likely that the rankings would actually be higher than shown here, and all we can see here is how well those titles sold compared to each other in the handful of days the chart tallies them at the 100 stores that feed this data.

Man, I didn’t love Ultimate Invasion but it does set up an interesting new status quo for that universe (designation 6160). I’m wondering what the Ultimate X-men book will be like, who the cast will be and who the creative team will be on it.

Ms. Marvel #2 and Realm of X#2 didn't make the top 10?

X-Men solo books. Why that matters, I haven’t a clue. But it does. Or at least it does seem to.

Percy continues to crush it and I think Sabretooth War is going to do really well. Thanks for posting!

Spider-Man + Batman + Wolverine sure kick ass, there's literally them and then everyone else.

The issues didn't have Hellion when they released, so they had to recall them and replace them with revised versions of the story. They'll claim that they're just putting out more prints because it sold well, but that's a lie.

When looking at a chart like that It's clear that titles like X-men must be very valuable for marvel. Constant sellers who can rise to 4'th spot with issue 27.

The mini's are doing worse. All of them follows the same pattern. A good first issue and then decline. Some fall hard and others softer. The economics of it makes sense if they end with issue 4 or 5. It just doesn't seem suistanable beyond the short term. They must be there to build to something. To create somehting that can be viable in the long run. Because if they keep doing it like this then even good mini's will not be enough.

I wonder if Brevoort will shore up the big titles. Keep them up as marque titles with many mini's or shorter projects around them. It seems like Marvel will need to use what they have when they still have it. Uncanny, X-men, X-force. Titles that sell.

I agree about the marque titles and it makes me wonder if it would be beneficial to run all the classic names including Excalibur, X-Factor, New Mutants, etc. while having experimental titles for minis. Even if a new writer comes in just keep the name of the book in place. X-Men #27 had something like 7 variant covers (not counting retailer covers) so it seems variants can still have a positive impact without having to be attached to a brand new #1.
