Anyone think Dunkirk was way overrated?
Nolan is really good at introducing little plot points that seem meaningless, and then bringing them to fruition when you least expect it. To me, that approach lends itself very well to a Bond film. I could see a Bond film that has the same kind of twists and turns in it as a Memento or Inception, with less trickery. So hearing that he is interested in doing a Bond film ... well he should be hired right now for that!

Every day is a gift, not a given right.
He will not be a good fit for Bond. Nolan should stick to originals.
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft
Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
while I think it WAS over-rated, it wasn't over-rated by too much. I have also noticed that the Brits tend to hate it far more than the Americans... for various historical and political reasons that they are entitled to.
as a life-long aviation enthusiast I was most pleased with the air combat sequences - he put some of the best/realistic aerial combat scenes on film in the history of cinema. sure, he played fast and loose with overall history... but I thought the film worked.
compared to something like Goddard's appallingly dull and pretentious "Breathless", I don't think "Dunkirk" was over-rated at all! the only things I remember about "Breathless" was that it was boring as hell and that Jean Seberg looked amazing.
Nolan has earned the right to do what he wants. I'd rather have directors do things that they WANT to do; where they can put their heart, mind, and soul into it.
What worries me here is that you don't need Nolan to make a good Bond film. There may be five directors who could get Oppenheimer made with that budget, and Cillian Murphy as the lead.
On the other hand, Nolan would get a lot of immediate excitement in Bond, and would immediately make it distinctive from the Daniel Craig series.
Nope. Easily in my top five for the 2010s.

Nolan's take on the Sliders concept of dimension hopping might be fun.
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!
I want to see a follow-up to his Dark Knight trilogy where Bruce and Selena are galivanting around the world as retired costumed people, but then stumble upon a murder mystery whodunit that they decide to solve just for shits and giggles.
Kind of curious who he would cast as Bond. Of his "regulars" Tom Hardy is pretty much the age Brosnan and Moore signed on.
Branagh or Oldman would make pretty good villains. I could actually see Neeson as M.
Marion Cottilard was rumored to be one of Craig's Bond girls, although that never happened.

The thing I struggle with when it comes to Nolan and Bond is that I feel a Nolan-esq approach to Bond was already taken in the Craig era, intentionally or unintentionally.
I mean, Casino Royale is pretty much 'Bond Begins'. And Skyfall does feel a lot like Bond's TDK. One can argue that No Time to Die was an 'ending' to Bond the same way that TDKR was an 'ending' to Batman.
The Craig era already did for Bond what Nolan did for Batman and what, presumably, people expect him to do for Bond. A relatively more 'grounded' approach to an iconic franchise, with a lot more focus on character depth and the protagonist's psyche.
Also, the Bond franchise tend to be cyclical, and I have a feeling that the next era will aim to be something very different from Craig...possibly something more light-hearted in the vein of Moore or Brosnan. I don't think that's what you go to Nolan for.
Nolan made his name doing Batman. So he would absolutely be a 'good fit' for Bond or any other existing property. That said, I'm not particularly keen on him doing Bond.
Maybe instead of taking on Bond, Nolan could remake "The Prisoner." Seems a bit more up his alley.
