I didn't even think he was dead. This didn't feel like a book for legit killing people off and characters shrug off stuff like that every Tuesday.

Makes me wonder if that was intended to be a death scene or not when originally drawn. It was pretty bloodless so it's possible the final decision came later?

Yeah I’ve been a little shocked by how badly this has been written and drawn (Derenick is never good).

It seems like a crossover like this could have done well in tpb for years to come. But this seems like they gave next to no effort here.
