Unfortunately, I agree. I am at a loss as to what is going on. Who put Hellboy in the robot, what they are after, what is the place Jian is in? and so on. It might be explained in the last issue, but I think it will be too little , too late. Great art in a story that is a bit of a mess.

Yeah, one issue just isn't enough time to make this feel like a cohesive whole. It's such a fun concept and if you had told me that someone could whiff on a Hellboy/ Kaiju story I would have thought you were crazy...but here we are.

Hate to agree, but I do. Fun concept with fantastic art, but half a story that we now have to wait until who knows when.

I feel like this is happening more often of late. I still love Hellboy, but it doesn't seem as tightly paced as it used to be.
