There's a lot of talk of Jean moving to Immortal in December and that Mark Brooks cover tease definitely points to that.

I assumed jean would be part of this new X-men after apocalypse imortal cover with Phoenix and that mark cover with jean that will be probably for November immortal X-men. + jean solo solicits said jean would appear in different book during fall of x/her solo would lead to new book

I think that’s likely. We’ll get a New (Old) X-men book with Ororo, Scott, Jean, Sunspot, etc., off planet while X-men will be on Earth as resistance fighters with Shadowkat, Logan, Ms. Marvel, Firestar and Juggernaut (who’s not a mutant) plus some others.

I speculate the current adjectiveless X-Men book will change names to Uncanny X-Men with #700 and then this New X-Men book will launch, presumably replacing Immortal or Red.

Only if there's still another writer to help him on Venom when he's too busy elsewhere with the new Immortal Thor & Avengers INC. (since Ram V is now exclusive to DC, Torunn Grønbekk is replacing him on Venom & Carnage).

Perhaps if Immortal turns into this book as some are speculating then yeah for sure. Someone told me they think that Brooks cover is for the December Immortal issue but not confirmed yet.

How about both? A way to reference Morrison's run while giving the middle finger to the Academy X and it's fanbase at the same time.

Especially because however the name started, NXM has ultimately come to identify this particular generation. They're almost ALWAYS referred to as the New X-Men when they're not being erroneously conflated with the Bendis Brats.

Bendis brats being Goldballs/Egg, Tempus (who are both on the Five now), Triage and Hijack? Though brats is a misnomer, as Hijack was already an adult and Tempus's powers involve time travel, so she aged up during her original run with the Uncanny X-Men.
