The surprise here is HELLBLAZER. For a comic that started in 1988 to make it to 300, legitimately, goes against all the odds. But it's sad to see they only let it get as far as 300 and then they pulled the plug. I hate when they do that--turn an anniversary party into a wake.

I'm pretty sure Legion of Super Heroes made it to issue 300.

Yeap, Levitz and Giffen reached as far as number 354. Whitout counting other iterations...

You're right! Sorry about that. I see how I made the mistake though. Will correct it.

There's a little tricky thingy there since lots of Silver Age Superman numbers already had Legion back-ups (which would be kinda unfair to not count) but, however, if we count only the Legion-named series

    -First reprinting, 4 issues
-Superboy and the Legion, from 222 to 258 (36 issues)
    -Legion, from 259 to 354
    -Pure Levitz+Giffen run, 1 to 63
-5 years later volume, 125 issues
-The Mark Waid volume, 50 issues
    -Volume 6, 16 issues
    -The new52 run, 23 issues
    -The Bendis run, 12 issues

That makes it a total of 425 issues, and not counting the Adventures comics run (86 issues), the Superboy starring the Legion run (25 issues) and other weird iterations of the group

Also, btw, Nightwing is currently at number 105, vol 4 (296 issues) so in november the character will be able to join the 300 club!!!!!

(sorry, I see you've already edited but gonna keep the count because it was fun to make it, lol)

I'm only counting when a specific title reaches the actual #300 (even if the name changed). So in this case, as corrected above: SUPERBOY→SUPERBOY AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES→LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES

When something has a new #1 it starts all over again! (Except when, as explained in the 100-issue post, they go back to legacy numbering.)

Titles with multiple runs would be a whole different post! Which I'd like to see.

The weird thing is when certain titles reach these high numbers, but never had the numbers in-between. For example, WONDER WOMAN got to 600, but there was never an issue 400 or 500. What are we supposed to do--get a sharpie and renumber our comics, so we can say we've got WONDER WOMAN 400 and 500?

I really hate all these numbering gimmicks. What's the point of numbering them at all if you're going to jam a 1,000,000 in there? Or a zero? Oh well, it's a lost cause at this point.

I wish both companies would make numbering charts like Marvel did for Marvel Legacy.

Don't be silly. Everybody knows you're supposed to use a pen.
