Yep, pretty much. The only thing I'm not sure about is flight. It's in the tk set, but it might be useful to have Flight 1 from the basic set, as well. I'll have to check later.

I looked it up. Levitation is Flight without a speed increase. So she'd be flying 5 feet a second instead of 30 feet a second.

Thanks for checking. So, Jean should get both Levitation and Flight since she can do both and fly much faster than 5 feet per second.

I'd probably just give her Flight and Group Flight and ignore the Levitation branch all together. There not much difference, other than speed and theme.

I do take issue with kate Pryde's logic score of 1 which I understood to be a measure of her intelligence. Have I misunderstood what "logic" means in the game?

Sorry for missing this, I was avoiding spoilers.

Logic is used for mental powers, but it's also used for non-combat intellect checks, so yeah, that's low for Kate. Human (non-powered) ability scores range from -3 to +3, with 0 being average. I'd say Kate should be at least a 2, but that requires shifting something from another ability or giving up a power. I think 1 power equals 1 ability point, but I've got so many games in my head right now, I'm not sure.

Found a really good video on character creation. He does seem to miss that you have to have the "heroic" tag to get Karma points, though. Also, Matt Forbeck said in a Q&A that Iconic weapons should probably stack, but that's not actually in the book, which says defense multipliers never stack.

Nice to see Jean Grey get in ahead of the X-Men book. For some reason, Quasar's picture is actually Rich Rider when he had the quantum bands - not Wendell Vaughn.

I knew Jean would be here because this cover was advertised for a while now and Jean is prominent on the cover.

While I would loved to have also seen Jean with the Phoenix and the Phoenix Force itself, at least they included the Phoenix Echo stats.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention there's an errata file available at https://www.marvel.com/rpg I haven't looked at it, yet, but there seems to be a lot of character updates.

If and when I get the book, I'll definitely post about it. It might not be until January, though.
