What if and maybe I am reaching here, and I think maybe someone pointed this out weeks ago about a Schism.

But what if we are going to have Different factions of Leadership and a civil war breaks out after the Fall?

    Meaning

    Apaccy
    Exodus
Jean Or Storm Or Emma being a power couple with Tony Stark
And a 4th leader? Magneto perhaps?

Seems to me something is brewing, I just cant put my finger to it.

How is Destiny blind again? I thought Mystique fixed that when she had Destiny resurrected and de-aged?

She was resurrected blind for some reason. It was clearly shown in all of her rare appearances without a mask. Out-of-universe reason is probably what either the writers forgot/don't know she wasn't originally blind, and/or they decided to keep her most well-known look, including solid gold mask, and hadn't wanted to explain how she can see through it. Although a better question would be - how she can breathe while wearing it? =)

Let's get through this miserable Fall first please, before we go calling down more trouble for the future. I think we've all had enough of schisms, in-fighting and machinations for one era.

If they are indeed within the orb, then it's not far fetched to think that MR might be able to manipulate time within it and stretch it out as she sees fit. Essentialy allowing her to give them a generation long biblical journey through a harsh environment while only months pass in the real world.

Even if it only last 1 year for every month it would allready allow to heavily affect the mindset of the mutants trapped within it.

Essentialy like The Hill from the 90's but better designed, managed and created with an actual end point in mind.

Which brings to mind that the readers are still left guessing how the events of Realm of X will play into the overarching events of Fall of X and beyond?

Vanaheimr is still a rather odd place to be part of a major X-men storyline.

Unless this is all a setup for Magik to take over Helheim, since she is no longer the ruler of Limbo. Which would be another way she could revert to her Darkchylde form.

Perhaps that's where Hope (oh dear the pun) might come into play.

Did they get sent Amenth, Otherworld or the desert Karma ended up in during the Asgardian Wars?

We open with the preview pages, X weeks after the gala. Xavier's beard has become unkempt as he stares blankly, replaying the horrifying events of the gala in his mind. He believes he killed all of the mutants he forced through the gates.

We rewind a bit to the day after the gala. Shaw is in an office building in NYC talking with his new assistant, Siobhan. He prefers to call her Tessa. He injects himself with a device that supposedly makes him no longer a mutant, a show of faith to his new partners in Orchis. He asks "New Tessa" how rich he is but when she checks his accounts they are unchanged. He grows angry as she tells him that while he owns Krakoa the island, he does not own the nation's finances. He storms out and then barges into the Hellfire Club. He goes into his secret room where he summoned Mother Righteous previously and does so again.

Hellfire Club guards enter and order him to leave immediately, their guns pointed at him. As he's being escorted out New Tessa tells him that she found out who owns the finances of Krakoa and that it's Wilson Fisk. He spits out the whiskey he just grabbed and Emma (as the classic White Queen) psychically appears, towering over him. She essentially gloats for outsmarting him and says she did it for the children while he did it for the cents.

Emma disappears and he tells NT to start arranging meetings as he wants to begin the exploitation of Krakoa immediately.

Back in the present, Shaw is sailing on a yacht with Selene and NT. He's demanding to know why his plans for Krakoa are stalling and one of the guards explains that so far all personnel that have been sent to the island have seen monsters on it and are too scared to proceed.

Back on Krakoa Emma reaches out to Xavier telepathically. She tells him that he can't keep ignoring her and that she's worried about him. She knows he believes all the mutants are dead but that they can't be sure of that so they shouldn't give up. She's reached out to Strange, Reed, and T'Challa for help with the missing mutants but so far nothing. Xavier tells her their children are dead and to leave him alone. He then starts to hear psychic chatter elsewhere on the island. A group of Orchis soldiers arrives on the beach via a small boat. They don't make it very far before they encounter four huge monsters, running back to their boat terrified. It's Xavier, psychically creating the image of the monsters. His narration box tells us he will not let the memory of the lost mutants be desecrated by those who bathed in blood. "No more. No more. No more."

The final scene takes place in a desert, "nowhere, no-when." Exodus, Hope, and Destiny find themselves in this strange place having just come through the gates. Destiny yells "NO!" and says she can't see the future, that there is nothing but white space. She asks if Raven is there and starts to freak out yelling for her wife. Hope slaps her (for all of us!) and tells her she has to pull it together.

Exodus walks up a dune telling them that there are 250,000 minds present with them. None of them are Mystique nor the rest of the Five. As he looks over the dune we see the population of Krakoa. Exodus confirms that they were all meant to arrive on Arakko but instead they're in this desert. Hope says most of them don't have useful mutant powers, they don't have food, water. She asks what they're going to do as she holds and comforts a crying Destiny.

Exodus calls out to the people, the sun's light behind him glinting off his headpiece. He says they will survive the desert as he did long ago, they will be transformed like he was. He says they are mutant pilgrims and he will lead them to the promised land. "We are the people of Krakoa. We only have each other. We have only ever had each other. And whether we live or die, we will live and die together. This way. Follow me."

The issue ends with a quote written by Exodus, similar to Exodus 16:2. "If only we had died by Orchis' hand! In Krakoa, we sat around pots of plenty and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death."

It sounds like both plot lines will continue to play a part, but in retrospect the cover for #15 seems to be Hope facing Zombie Wolverine in the desert and the solicit text is about surviving the desert.

Much better written issue than Duggan's, but it makes me dislike Xavier even more than before. Wallowing in self pity, when he should be doing something [he clearly knows Rogue is alive and fighting, and now knows Emma is]. Instead, he is just chilling on his island paradise and pulling a Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Also, Hope suddenly becoming useless seems like a disservice to her character. Her name is literally Hope; she should be the one leading the mutants on their exodus (not Exodus). Instead, she is just relegated to comforting Destiny and not knowing what to do.

That's Charles facing down the cyborg Wolverine on the deserted Krakoa not Hope

I loved this. Every single issue of Fall of X so far has been great, it's clear that it has really energized creative teams old and new while creating fertile soil for interesting stories. All the books have a sense of danger and unpredictability that I'm loving and Gillen manages to follow up on one of the biggest mysteries after the Gala (where did all, or at least most of the mutants go?) to great effect for Exodus especially.

    Worst Immortal X-men so far.
I was expecting an exam on Xavier's psychological state, but we got only a Gala flashback for those who hadn't bought the comic.
Nobody really died, so Xavier's plot has no weight.
Shaw and Selene are just goofy cartoon villains now.
Destiny freaking out like a teenager and being hit by Hope.
Exodus Moses was the only promising plot, but we have to wait and see if it will pay off.
