Default Kryptonian + lightning = human getting superpowers

Something that has popped up in Superman or Superman adjacent media is a character gaining superpowers after being struck by lightning while in contact with a Kryptonian. Smallville, Superman:TAS, Lois & Clark and CW's Supergirl had this happen. Is there any precedent for this in the comics?

Strange Visitor? Human woman merges with an alien, gets powers similar to Electric Blue Superman (and wears that costume). The alien wasn't Kryptionian in the comics though.

comics has used often the idea that some humans who are born with powers need an outside stimulus to reveal them. One of the JL vs vampires stories had the vampires collect these latent supers so they could make super-vampires out of them.

DCAU doesn't say Leslie had any special stuff before getting zapped. But New Earth does.... powers so weak no one really cares. Then she gets zapped and suddenly can channel enough power to hurt Kryptonians.

I've no idea, but it does sound like riff on the tropes of superheroes gaining their superpowers.
