If they are accurate, I'm of course thrilled that Magik is supposedly playing a major role. Maybe Realm of X set her up for that, maybe it didn't. I'm still trusting that Brevoot is professional enough to not let his past biases rule him.

Didn't Bleeding Cool get the news that Hickman would be writing X-Men and that he was making the mutants immortal.

Ah yes that's right, FCBD in July, "a Prelude to the X-Men's New Era... get a glimpse of the future of mutantkind as Jubilee learns that you cannot go home again!" Maybe July is a transition month as we move from JDW's tenure to Brevoort's.

This Bleeding Cool article first claims that Gail Simone is rumored to be writing this 'Magik-centered storyline' in the summary, but when reading the actual article it's just idle speculation/wishing by the writer.

So how come we are hearing that Illyana Rasputin is to lead the new X-books that Brevoort is editing? Have we got it completely wrong (always possible) or has Brevoort decided to tackle his own prejudices head on, and go hell for leather for Magik? Is this Tom Brevoort's "one in a blue moon" chance to make such a change? I could see Gail Simone writing the hell out of Illyana, can't you?

Yeah she's writing the Jubilee story in the FCBD issue. I think bigstupidjellyfish is referring to the below from Gillen's most recent newsletter:

"X-MEN STUFF
Immortal X-men ends in December. Rise of the Powers of X starts in January and X-men Forever (which basically continues Immortal X-men) hits in March. I've likely got another issue's worth of X-stuff in the mix, but after that it'll be the end of my time in the X-office and Marvel (at least, for now). Time for new things."

Fresh twist could be characters resetted to previous versions of themselves. Like what will happen to the Beast but for many using the Krakoan technology.

That sounds most likely a one shot issue to end the Fall more than FCBD
