I'm glad the teams are working together. This was a decent issue. I really prefer Alpha Flight classic to the Station version

Yeah me too. I have a small hope that through this the classic Alpha flight can get another chance to have a series once Fall of X is over

So funny, always when a team returns, people want someone on the team that is not there. So we have 7 AF-members on the book (Guardian, Shaman, Aurora, Snowbird, Northstar, Nemesis and Puck) and even the son of Box and Feedback returned. But who want people? Persuasion, Talisman, Marrina, Sasquatch, Vindicator and Manikin. This made me laugh as this always happens. Not that I disagree though. But I like a small cast as then they can focus on just some really well, instead of giving everyone their favorite some space and none get real focus.

I hope we will get a new AF series as well, but then probably have mutants on it who have a larger fanbase so it sell better that the previous tries.

So at least have Northstar, Vindicator, Guardian and Aurora (I think these might be most popular) and add Deadpool and Wolverine. Then some others be on call, so they can rotate a bit, so every fanb=n can see their favorite Canadians on the team.

Deadpool on a team roster is an absolute guarantee I will not buy or read that book.

I was pretty ticked off to think Alpha Flight would turn on their teammates like the previews suggested. And with one particular line of dialogue from Shaman, I should've known something was up but still didn't see the ending coming. Which made me happy. Really enjoyed it.

The one thing that did piss me off was when the Department H chick started chewing out the team after their "failure". I'm saying to myself, "Good thing I wasn't one of the Alpha Flight members in that instance. I would put her threw a wall". Anyone who yells at me like that is not getting away with that. Story-wise, sure it makes sense but I was just transferring how I would react to it in a real-world situation.

But man, I was so utterly surprised by how much I liked the first issue after I was done reading it.

I finally got a chance to read this, and it's wonderful.

I'm still trucking my way through the original Alpha Flight series (the post-Byrne stuff is surprisingly hard to find) so I don't think I've seen Feedback yet, but damn this single issue made me really feel for him. I also loved the twist that they were working together all along (though that means that Snowbird was actually defending the rotten ass racist humans a bit). Fantastic start to this mini, can't wait for more.

Not to mention Mac's "Let's put on a show" comment as they leapt from their transport.

I really enjoyed the first issue as well. So glad there's more going on than the "team fights itself" plotline. I also never knew of Feedback. From the art on his profile I guess he was on the 90's team.

My first thought was that Heather was Nemesis, but since they're working together I find it less likely, but who knows? I haven't kept up with the team in awhile. I have a feeling Bochs Jr will be the main antagonist once AF's cover is blown, but I hope he's not turned into a full-on villain.
