Let’s hope it’s better than his “update” for Catwoman… if you can’t tell, that’s sarcasm. It was an awful design. Usually he is great but the straight man comic "fashion" designer popped out and was not... good.

This would actually be the first time we've seen Keaton's Arkham. We saw Arkham in the Schummacre-verse but not the Burton-verse. Hope is has the Arkham Asylum game vibes.
The solicit for issue 2 came out last Friday. Here's the cover, with a first look at Harley Quinn and what looks like Batgirl.

Pretty cool suit, especially the '89 inverted symbol. And I like how the first volume seeded in Barbara collecting and playing with the confiscated gear.

Barbara Gordon is probably the most prominent DC character never to have appeared on the big screen (there was the brief glimpse of Jim Gordon’s daughter at the end of Dark Knight, but since that character wasn’t even named in the credits, I’m not going to credit it here).
But putting her prominently into the Batman’89 universe is kinda awesome, and- if it’s done well- may be a better and more respectful portrayal than many DC characters have received in their actual movie incarcerations. Can’t wait!

The first victim of the Scarecrow. Perfect excuse to bring Batman back.
Also I like how Babs' jacket has yellow on it.
So this takes place two years after Shadows. I wasn't expecting that big of a time skip. One year at most.
