I was tempted to get this to see more of the X-Men squad, but I'm getting more tempted to see the Kamal/Rasputin interactions. It was cute in the Gala issue and it's cute now.

Also, Emma has a point. Mutants are being deported off planet or having their gene suppressed. Now is not the time to reveal yourself, even to a friend.

This actually looks cute. Still not a fan of Rasputin IV, and waiting for the other shoe to drop on that side, but the sisterly vibe is cute.

Kate being much more like her AoA counterpart can give to interesting interactions too.

Not sure why Kamala would fantasize about Carol in her classic Ms. Marvel duds but maybe they just wanted an excuse for Carlos Gomez to draw it ?

I feel like I should remember who Michelle is...

So she's at a Summer internship? Not straight up college?

Honestly a part of me wants to see Kamala keep disappointing Emma because she doesn't think/act like a Mutant/X-Man.

Dialogue and tone feel about on-point.

Guess she won't show her Mutation until the last issue.

It's dumb, honestly. Her new costume has Xs on it. Surely Bruno will notice that and ask why she's changed her costume to one that makes her look like an X-Man? The answer of course being because she IS an X-Man now.

I think Michelle is Mike.

It's not, unless the writers made a double blooper (which is unlikely, since surely Iman Vellani read all of Kamala's back catalogue before she started playing her in the MCU). Mike is short for Michaela. And she knows Kamala is Ms. Marvel, so Kamala wouldn't need her out of earshot so she can talk to Bruno about being a mutant. Michelle is probably a new character.

Beautiful clean lines. I very much enjoy this artist and I'm pleased to see they've adjusted/adapted to showcasing a character like Kamala.

Interview with Iman about the upcoming series. Omega Sentinel (the OG X-Men ally turned killer Orchis robot) will apparently show up.

Bruno might be able to piece it together without asking. My thing though was that its not worth the risk to tell him in case someone else overhears the conversation.
