He’s going to do Action 1059.

There we go, confirms it’s for Action Comics. So 3 of the 4 teams for Superstars are known: Aaron/Timms doing Bizarro, Williamson/Sandoval doing Brainiac, and Waid/Henry doing this Aethyr storyline. Only leaves one more and my guess is it will be Tom King, Tom Taylor, or Ram V as the final writer. Whoever is on the book last might even stay on into 2025, rooting for King to finally get his chance to write Superman in an ongoing.

From a logistical standpoint, it would make sense if the last “guest” team on the book just rolled right into being on it full time. Although, counterpoint to that would be that’s kinda how they did it with Bendis, and that run wasn’t er… shall we say well liked.

But I gotta say that I’d love to see Ram V as the final writer but he certainly wouldn’t be the ongoing writer thereafter. I’d prolly prefer King or Yang myself for when it gets back to ongoing with a single team.

Is Clayton Henry super slow to draw an arc so many months in advance? lol

My only desire is for Action to pursue a different tone and identity from the main Superman book. Since that is Clark focused and more light hearted, I’d prefer Action either go darker or focus on bringing in the Superfamily to use. King and Ram V could bring a darker tone, Yang could do great on a Superfamily team book.

Maybe Waid is the cause for concern given how long it took him to finish his BL Superman book.

Perhaps. Wish they get back to the bi-weekly format for this experiment of rotating creative teams.

Hoo boy! The best part about this post by Ram V is not that he has an idea for a Superman story, but that it seems like he really really wants to make it happen. So, um, make it happen DC!

I mentioned this before, but I'm a huge Superman fan and want to talk about a 12 week carve out in my contract next year to do a special Superman project. It's just a lovely one-off itch I want to scratch as I haven't written the character since 2003.

I can think of few writers I want on Superman less than Millar.

Waid actually writing the entire Superfamily? I’m shocked. Glad to see the Superfamily team will continue even after PKJ is leaving.

The focus on the heroes' families is a thing since Infinite Frontier. Likely a push coming from high.
