Default Best Mysteries in DC Comics History

Battles and fights are great in comics but give me a great mystery and I'm happy.

What are some of the best mystery storylines in DC Comics history?

The Who Killed Sue Dibny mystery in Identity Crisis was pretty good. As was "Who is Hush" in Jim Lee's debut storyline (Hush).

Definitely, an All-Time Favorite would be...

    The Long Halloween/Dark Victory

Definitely, a personal favorite would be Dick trying to solve Clancy's mystery...

Who Is Sensor Girl - Legion of Super Heroes

I changed my guess as to who she was at least three times.

Monarch’s identity became one of DC’s most notorious mysteries…

The Great Darkness Saga from Legion of Super-heroes was actually a great mystery at the time who the Big Bad was. But now his face is right on the cover of all the collected editions.

But yeah - The Long Halloween was the best.

The “who threw the custard pies” ongoing investigation in the John Ostrander Suicide Squad run.

Agreed. Many years later, that revelation is still quite a shocker (IMHO):

Does the old Dominus Story count as a mystery? Emperor Superman was such a weird story.

My favourite mystery: "The Round-Robin Death Threats"/"Where There's a Will--There's a Slay" in DETECTIVE COMICS 366 (August 1967) and 367 (September 1967), by Gardner Fox, Carmine Infantino and Sid Greene; cover art by Infantino and Anderson:

Also, who could forget these mysteries--

    The Search for Zatanna's Father!
    Who Killed Boston Brand?
    Operation Blindfold!
Bat Lash--Can He Save the West? Or Ruin It!
    Who is Mockingbird?
    Who Killed Steve Trevor?
    What is the Sand Superman?
    Bat-Murderer!
Who Took the Super Out of Superman?

And what about the unsolved mystery of Agent SU-6?
