I'm surprised Arthur Jr. isn't being raised in Atlantis but I guess it's safer up to with his grandparents. Not that it keeps them safe from Manta.

I wonder if this will remind DC that Atlanna is actually alive in the comics.

I find it very funny they've skipped to Arthur and Mera already being married with a child considering they had zero romantic chemistry in the first movie, most of Mera's lines to Arthur in the first movie were just insults, they had maybe one romantic scene together before suddenly they were making out during the final battle, and now I'm supposed to find it believable that they have a kid now?

Also these movies just keep looking like someone put Black Panther and Thor in a blender and set it underwater, mind you I'm not trying to insult the movie but that's the exact vibe I got from the first movie and the vibe I'm getting from this one.

It actually looks pretty good. Seems to share the tone of the first one. Pure popcorn action. Iffy CG on a few shots.

Very curious as to the box office results, given the unexpected performance of the first one.

I saw the seahorse seriousness as a callback to the Superfriends cartoon from the 1970s, actually. Aquaman was shown as serious and seemingly oblivious to the absurdity of what he was doing, riding a giant purple seahorse.
