    Default RIP Dick Ayers

    http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=52620

Dick Ayers reportedly passed away today, at the age of 90.

Dick was one of the key figures in the 1960's Marvel bullpen. Initially he was often tasked with inking Jack Kirby's pencils, but he quickly moved on to providing more and more pencils. With a style that resembled Kirby's, he was often given the job of penciling a book once Kirby had moved on to another project. And personally, I always thought he did a great job. He will be missed.

Couple months late but I just saw this. I think I first saw his work while at DC. A real pro.
