Deathstroke for Deadpool.
Slade would start making a villainous mess to establish cred, likely against Paladin and Captain America
Wilson would just get under everybody's fingernails for reasons the rest of us can't fathom.
Adam Warlock for Metron
Metron basically gets a clean slate with a fresh start in a new reality full of information that's new to him. he becomes far less cynical and adopts an almost child-like wonder at the prospect
Warlock starts off as his usual aloof self but, as he observes the on-going New Genesis/Apokolips conflict, he somehow becomes aware that his predecessor had remained neutral in this conflict and done little to minimize the threat it poses to the universe that contains it. condemning Metron's approach hardens Adam into taking a far more interventionist stance, throwing down against both sides and adding a twist to the Fourth World corner of the DCU that I don't think has been attempted previously
