I did from the first day that the previews were out, and I still think that it is a very un-Diana thing to do, especially to a human. But I get it: making a superhero vicious is a common [tired] trope in superhero writers, especially cishetero male writers, who are always intensely focused in making superheroes appear "badass" regardless of how appropriate their shallow definition of badass is for the particular superhero.

Its gonna be interesting seeing the next couple issues which appear to have Diana doing a bit of other stuff unrelated to confronting the government.
The star effects when she smashes the tank look a little silly.
It does add a sort of epicness to the story. Its like Sovy is reciting a Greek epic poem describing the greatness of this almighty warrior that felled him. He's essentially praising Diana as the ultimate uber badass because she is the one who ultimately defeated him when many others could not.
It adds a unique flavor to the story and helps give some more character/presence to Sovy.
