I love how Jean and Scott are drawn in the Mark Brooks illustration. They seem to be in the same spot that Xavier and Moira were in the original HoXPoX promo.

Characters like Thunderbird, Bishop, Rachel, Rogue, and Havok are in their classic duds, Betsy is in her Lady Mandarin get up and there's Old Man Cale and Kid Cable, plus AoA Colossus. So...either time traveling, alternate timelines shenanigans, or both.

And the fight for Krakoa has been lost in RISE OF THE POWERS OF X #1! Ten years ago, the mutants returned from their exile to try and reclaim the Earth from the forces of Orchis. They failed. Now, within the victorious Orchis with their gauntlet choking the world, Nimrod and Omega Sentinel put their plan within a plan into action. They are to summon their binary god to consume everything in their accession. All that stands between them is the X-Men. What can they do? They're the X-Men. They'll find a way. That's their power. So begins a story beyond time and space, with the rise of powers beyond our petty human intelligence.

Bolding a part of the solicit because it just feels incredibly weird how it starts with "the X-Men failed horribly ten years ago" then with this threat goes "oh but they're the X-Men, they always find a way to not fail."

I'm still waiting for Bill the Lobster to strike since he appeared in the very first of these promo images.

Before that post, he had 16 issues of X-Men come out:
Immortal X-Men 1-10
Sins of Sinister 1
Immoral X-Men 1-3
Sins of Sinister: Dominion 1
Immortal X-Men 11

After that post, he has 14 issues (that we know of) of X-Men that have come out / will come out:
Immortal X-Men 12-13
X-Men: Before the Fall - The Sinister Four 1
Immortal X-Men 14-18
Rise of the Powers of X 1-6

So if the math wasn't screwed up somewhere, Gillen is writing at least 3 or more issues of something besides RotPoX next year.

An update to this, since we now know RotPoX is 5 issues - Gillen is writing at least 4 issues of something besides RotPoX next year.

Love the outback era costumes for Rogue and Dazz. Looks like kurt may be going back to his pre spidey costume( if its not a red herring). Just as long as he doesn't go back to his classic one, though i would have liked something new.
