It's all in the title: The final battle of the X-Men's Krakoan age begins in 'Fall of the House of X' and 'Rise of the Powers of X'!

by dugan for fall of house of x and gillen for rise of the powers of x

    more info at Marvel NYCC

Glad gillen is here for rise of x after the fall can't wait to know more, and I hope he continues immortal after that, duggan who will conclude that he started with fall of x it's logical.

I really hope this is just the final battle against Orchis and not the finale of the Krakoan Age (the latter seems odd if Sabretooth War, at least, is running January-May 2024).

Really hoping AL EWING is involved in the "ending" of Krakoa.

I'm HYPED! I can't wait to hear more on this and it's great we only have a few weeks until we get more details. I do find the lack of Al Ewing mentions worrying though, at this stage he's as much of an architect of the Krakoan era as Gerry Duggan and I'd very much like for him to be involved in writing what looks to be the closing chapter of this era.

This seems about right, having read the phoenix ommnibus finally i am of the mind Phoenix already created a dominion in the m'kraan when she used the x-men as a branch of life and as such that was an actual tree of life that started the x-dominion so death doesn't really matter in the x-books. they already created a dominion with the world and technically since it was before dark phoenix it's a good way to keep from having jean go dark phoenix in all realities since the dominion allowing even her a true rebirth. jmo though.

Hopefully Ewing will get New X-Men.

    Yes!
Plus welcome back Silva to art duties, full circle with HoX/PoX! I wonder if these will be intertwined weekly miniseries, too.

At this stage I'm not so convinced "New X-Men" is actually a new book anymore but rather just a continuation of Gerry Duggan's X-Men, with a new team debuting after the last one was crushed by Nimrod just after getting elected. It might well receive a new title and maybe a new #1 but given that we're coming to the end of the current era, I would expect Gerry Duggan to continue writing it to the very end.

Interesting that we got a rise of one and fall of another. I wonder if we might get any spoilers on the solicits next week for the issues releasing the first week of January.

Really glad to see Silva is back also! So I wonder if this will basically be like HoX/PoX, two series wrapping things up before a whole new launch of titles. Whatever it is I'm excited that, like Uncanny said, we don't have to wait too long!

No to wasting Ewing on trash like the newer characters.

I wonder why they would pair Silva with Gillen instead of Werneck whom he has been working with on Immortal

I wonder if these will be the creative teams for Uncanny & Astonishing/Amazing/Adjectiveless X-Men, once the Krakoan era is finally put to rest.

Now that I think about it, we might get a bit of a tease during the solicits next week. It's weird to announce and say more info a month before the con, but we've seen them announce things before the solicits go out.
