Agreed. I really want to like this but have a Grade B Earth X feel for now. I liked Earth X. The trailer made me less interested.

True enough, even as a fan of cyberpunk (which tech noir is somewhat related to as a sci-fi subgenre). Besides Marvel 2099, there's Future State Gotham over at DC. That said, I wonder if, based on the revealed premise, this might be playing into, if not even refuting, certain critiques of the Avengers as an institution, somewhat akin to what the same writer has arguably been doing since he started writing Batman over at DC.

Can't say it excites me much. Can't help feeling that we've seen this kind of thing before. However, I will give it a chance. Maybe I'm wrong.

    Peace

I'm looking foward to this. I'm one of those people sick of 616 and I prefer different universes.

What makes me sick of 616 is the editorially enforced stagnation of the "mainline continuity" and how it's never really allowed to make any meaningful growth or change or development last very long before ultimately reverting to status quo.

Art looks fantastic, but not seeing any characters I really care for. I mean -- Cap is okay depending on who is writing him, but he's never been a favorite --- probably one of my least favorite Avengers -- along with Iron Man and Thor.

Alas, they are the Big Three of the Avengers, so it almost always defaults back to them in the end. That said, the premise seems intriguing enough that I might check out the first issue.
