Intersting, looks like a combination of both Willem Dafoe suit (more MCU rendition than 2002 version) and Ultimate (1610) Beetle design.

I think it kinda weird and annoying I have to use numeric designation of that world instead of simply saying Ultimate or USM like I'm still used to.

It is a bifurcation of Earth-616. It was originally just liek Earth 616, until reaching the times of the origins of the main heroes. So there's no reason to belive the characters I mentioned do not exist.

Not exactly. For example, Liz Allan was present when Peter was originally going to get bitten by the spider (before the Maker intervened). That is not something that happened on Earth-616.

Edit: You can argue it was "clone enough" to 616 before The Maker but we don't know enough about that world. The Maker had effectively neutralized any possible threat.

Pretty sure Maker even says that there will be variations in the new universe he goes to. Even if it was a bifurcation of 616 (something that's never stated or implied in the book), Maker bounced back and forth through time so much that things would be drastically different by this point.

Also, if it was exactly like 616 originally, Tony Stark wouldn't be a kid while Peter Parker is a middle aged man. It's clearly an entirely seperate universe.

The Maker didn't even think 6160 had a Captain America (it does. But others got to him first).

    Ultimate Spider-Man #1 Dell'Otto variant:

"The Enigma Force is not a tool to be manipulated by mortals. The Enigma Force comes to those it deems worthy. What temerity, what arrogance, makes you think you are worthy? Have you not all made mistakes? Unforgiveable ones?" - Captain Universe

"Call me an Avenging Angel, Baron, come to safeguard Earth...call me CAPTAIN UNIVERSE!" - Ray Coffin

"You're my heart, Mary Jane Watson...you're my jackpot." - Peter Parker

Feels like variants are more the product than the books themselves at this point.

From what I can tell, this lines up with how Dell'Otto typically draws Doc Ock's tentacles in his other art pieces with him, so I'm leaning towards this being more of a generic Spider-Man situation for the variant cover.

    Hard to be sure though.

Wonder if certain variant covers are available for different comics shops for different areas.

As far as I know there are 17 variants so far, but I might have missed a few, and we should get more soon:

    - Checchetto regular cover
    - Checchetto sensational suit variant
    - Checchetto black suit variant
    - Checchetto 2099 variant
    - Checchetto sketches on graph paper variant
    - Tony S. Daniel variant
    - Matteus Manhanini dark suit variant with Peter reflection in the building
    - Nick Klein variant
    - David Marquez variant
    - Elizabeth Torque PeterMJ variant
    - Ryan Stegman PeterMJ variant
    - Mark Bagley original USM homage variant
    - Scott Campbell PeterMJ variant
    - Matthew Waite variant
    - Ariel Diaz variant
    - Alan Quah variant
    - Kaare Andrews variant
    - Dell'Otto variant

What's the all-time record for variant records on a book? Cause 20-25 seems absurd.

Hard to believe there isn't a Gleason cover.
